Teaching Philosophy in brief

I believe a core responsibility of an art educator is to instill in students a love of art. Through my courses and workshops, I foster learning environments that support widely applicable skill-building. I aim to encourage and inspire students to value the active process of learning while I provide a supportive and challenging environment. I believe in fostering a consistent art practice focused on process, critical analysis, problem-solving, skill development and mastery, and precision in craftsmanship. I believe great teaching requires a balance between individual attention and group leadership; between technical instruction and conceptual development. Students will learn to how to craft and tell their visual stories and find their artistic voice and confidence.
